Allens Lane Art Center loves our volunteers. Whether you have skills in office administration, or just interested in helping us with our gallery, theater or building, we are interested in having you donate some of your valuable time and would like to hear from you. When you volunteer, we provide training so that you understand your position, general information about the center, and relevant artist/performance information. We understand that your time is valuable so we have made some positions very time specific while other jobs are much more open ended depending on your schedule. If you have a skill that you would like to bring to Allens Lane Art Center but don't see anything listed? Please contact us and let us know! We are happy to have our community arts center as a focal point of your community! To ensure that your time, energy and skills are put to good use, please take a moment to look over the list of available volunteer positions below and then fill out the form at the bottom of this page and let us know which position interests you. We will add your name to our volunteer email list and you will receive various notices for project assistants that you can respond to. Thank you.

A NIGHT OF THE ARTS
Allens Lane Art Center is gearing up for its giant annual fundraiser - A Night of the Arts - on June 10, 2017 (6 - 9pm) and we need your help to make this event a success. Like in previous years, we're building a small army of volunteers to help out and we'd love to have you on our team. We have a wide variety of volunteer positions and we'd love to hear from you about which roll you'd like to fill. All volunteers are provided training for their job. We will be having an all volunteer meeting on the night before the big event so we can make sure you're well trained to do your job, get a chance to meet the other volunteers, learn about all the specifics of the event so you can be a true ambassador of the Art Center, plus, we'll even feed you that evening! We are in need of:
• 2 Catering Assistants - These volunteers will work with the caterer to help prepare the food stations in the center and will help keep them supplied throughout the night.
• 2 Parking Attendants - We need volunteers to help make sure people can get in and out of our parking lot safely and to also help give directions to alternative spots once our lot is full.
• 3 Greeters/Check-In Volunteers - A big smile and a warm welcome is what we are looking for. Help sign people in, give them instruction on what to do and help hand out materials to each of our guests.
• 5 Decorations Crew - The day before the big event, we need people to help decorate the center. We'll be setting up the center to make sure it looks it's best and turn it into a real party atmosphere! Everything from flower arranging to setting up art stations!
• 4 Bartenders - Nothing fancy. We just need people who can pour drinks (wine, beer, water and soda) to help keep our guest well hydrated.
• 2 Photographers - Got a good camera or cell phone? We'd love to get some people whose job it is to just walk around that evening and take candid photos of all our guests.
• 2 Silent Auction Checkout Volunteers - We need people who are good at the little details who can help make sales transactions for items that people win in our silent auctions. We will provide training on how exactly we need to help our guests purchase small items as well as helping them safely pack up those items for transport.
• 10 Artist Assistants - We need a variety of volunteers who can help our performing and visual artists as they entertain and instruct our guests on special projects. From helping our guests make party masks, painting tiles or pinch pots to assisting our guests onto the stage into our theater, we'd love to have your help. For those who are extroverts, we also need some volunteers to be our "barkers" who will help the masses of guests move along from venue to venue.
• 2 Ticket Sellers - We need 2 outgoing volunteers who can help sell 50-50 tickets that evening to help us raise a little more money. Persuasive sales people who can talk people into parting with their money go to the head of the line.
To volunteer for any of these jobs or to learn more about volunteering at this event, please email our Volunteer Coordinator - Mary Jane Kinney at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to send along your contact information so we can reach you
