2007 - 08 Season

Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight
by Peter Ackerman, directed by Jay Wahl

So you’ve finally found the one: killer smile, great personality, and amazing in the sack. Until late one night, in the throws of passion, your perfect lover shouts out something shocking and unexpected. Join six characters in bed as they make love
and each other crazy in this culturally and sexually outrageous comedy.

October 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20
please see note below for info on 10/6 show

Baby with the Bathwater
by Christopher Durang, directed by Ryder Thornton

NyQuil, Quaaludes and clueless parents don’t go down well with infants. Add kidnapping and a nutty nanny and the end product is a narcoleptic child who dives in front of busses and spends eleven years in the wrong gender.  It may look dark, but don’t throw out the satire with the comedy.  Durang turns rage into hilarity and absurdity into redemption in one person’s saga to find identity from the ashes of bad parenting.
November 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, December 1

The Blue Room
by David Hare, directed by Kate Galvin

Indulge your voyeuristic side with this sexy, modern take on Arthur Schnitzler’s Reigen (“round dance”). Two actors create a daisy chain of ten romantic and not-so-romantic encounters with each reprising a character from the previous scene. Explore the unpredictable terrain of personal connections, from red-hot affairs to cool and calculated mind-games.
Suggested for mature audiences.

January 25, 26, 27, February 1, 2, 3, 8, 9
the Feb. 2 performance is sold out!

Six Degrees of Separation
by John Guare, directed by Renee Dobson

A young, black man shows up at the door of a wealthy New York couple with a bloody shirt and an enticing story, including the assertion that he is the son of Sidney Poitier.  The couple is drawn in by his allure,

never realizing that their lives are changing forever. This comedic look at urban American society

was inspired by a true story.
March 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22
Fri., March 21 & Sat., March 22 are sold out!

This play is being sponsored by Cozen O'Connor

The Mercy Seat

by Neil LaBute, directed by Noelle Nettl

What if, instead of going to work on time, you went to your lover’s apartment? What if this indiscretion

saved your life? In the wake of a national catastrophe, two self-absorbed lovers – Ben the philandering husband and Abby his older boss - debate their future, seeing the tragedy only in terms of the opportunity it has presented to them.
April 25, 26, 27, May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10
(April 27 is sold out)
