The Art of Giving
HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE
"If I hadn’t become blind, I never would have become an artist."
Frank Madison met with a tragic accident twenty years ago when he lost his sight and became totally blind. "I had to learn how to live in a different world," he told me. "But I had no idea at the time that my new world would include art, or that I would become an artist."
Because of your generosity, programs at Allens Lane Art Center are reasonably priced, so Frank was able to enroll in our Vision Thru Art sculpture class. Here he learned to “see with his hands,” to mold and transform bricks of clay, and even start using the potter’s wheel - an adventurous move for a blind person. Thanks to you, Vision Thru Art has been here for Frank and his fellow students - all blind or visually impaired - week after week, year after year.
Your generous donation today will help fuel Frank’s momentum, and keep Vision Thru Art - and all of our classes and programs - affordable and accessible for everyone in our community. From Vision Thru Art to dance and art classes, from exhibitions and theater productions to Summer Art Camp for kids, Allens Lane is a true community art center because of you.
You donations go directly toward supporting the mission of Allens Lane Art Center. Our children's programs, classes, exhibitions and theater directly benefit from your generosity and we thank you. Allens Lane is a non-profit 501 c(3) association so all recognized donations are tax-deductible. We will provide you with documentation regarding every donation. If your employer has a matching gift program, please send the form along with your donation. The Board and Staff at Allens Lane Art Center thanks you for your generousity.
Your support helps fund everything from our summer camp to our yearly schedule of programs and events.

From paper to paint, pipe-cleaners to clay, Allens lane goes through a lot of art supplies. Aside from materials, we are also in need of certain pieces of art equipment: Potter's wheels, drying racks, chairs and stools, easels, etc.
Allens Lane Art Center is in need of some general tools to help with maintaining our beautiful building. Hammers, tool boxes, screwdrivers, saws, sandpaper, clean brushes, clean rollers, rulers, etc. are all needed.
Everything from reams of paper, pens, staples, and envelopes to kitchen cleaners, serving trays, dishwashing liquid and paper plates. We can use it all!
