Living together in the community through the arts

Since its founding in 1953, Allens Lane Art Center has been a cornerstone of the Mt. Airy community by bringing the residents together to participate in and enjoy the arts.  Whether its art classes for children or adults, amazing art exhibitions or cutting edge plays on the mainstage, there is something for everyone at Allens Lane.

VOLUNTEER CLEANUP DAY

Allens Lane Art CenterOur next Volunteer Day is schedule for April 10th, 2010 starting at 9am.

One of the nicest things about Allens Lane Art Center is it's location. Being surrounded by nature in the middle of 7 acres of Fairmount Park is what makes this place so special. The down side of this is that nature can sometimes take over. That's why we need your help! Each year we get plenty of overgrowth and garbage that accumulates around the center and each season, we work at cleaning it all up.

We will provide the rakes, gloves, and dumpster. We need your muscles and enthusiasm. Snacks will be provided. If you think you will be able to join us, please email us at info@allenslane.org and let us know your coming. Even if you can only stay for an hour or so, we'd love to have you join us.
